THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS
Public 2016 by FORM is an anuall festival of art and urban activation which saw 23 teams made up of artists, architects, designers and engineers devise installations in Claremont, WA in order to enliven dead/less used spaces. Our team, run by architect Marina Lommerse, designed and created an immersive hanging installation within a laneway using delicate handcrafted tissue paper flowers. The installation was inspired by Floriography; a way to express emotion and feeling through flowers. Flower types were explained along with their meaning through hanging tags attached amongst the blooms.
